Kintsugi

I know it hurts like a million shards,
Piercing through your broken heart..

Like molten lava,
Scorching your soul, and dreams of a lifetime..

Like you're trapped, in a dense dark, numb cloud,
That dulls the voices - within and outside..

Like years are going by, and nothing's changing,
Like you're living a version of you, that's a stranger,

But if you've forgotten, I want you to know,
You're the light of a million constellations,
You're the resilience of the wild flowers,
You're the eternal wisdom of the universe...

Kintsugi it is, I can see...
The broken pieces of you becoming golden,
Shining even brighter than every version of you that you ever knew..

Here's to the Kintsugi you - the broken, the beautiful you,
Here's to the golden deep battle scars you survived,
Here's to breaking again,
Here's to healing again,
Here's to more battle scars, like proud medals of honour, adorning your soul..

Here's to the Kintsugi you...

~Amrita
